Surajgarh Farms – Village in City
If you are looking for a happening place close to the city and even closer to a whole lot of complete fun then Surajgarh Farms is the ideal place for you. Sun-kissed lush green lands spread over 12 acres are waiting to welcome you. You get to walk straight into India’s exotic heritage filled with farm-style activities, adventure, a rustic menu, and much more.
When we entered the farm they welcomed us with a welcome drink. The themed park ‘village in the city’ literally gave me the feel of a village. There were huts which were maintained very properly and a well beside the huge lawn.
Breakfast
The day started with an amazing breakfast. They served us delicious breakfast which included Jalebi, Pakoda, Tea, and Buttermilk. The breakfast was very yummy and had a beautiful taste.
Fun Activities at Surajgarh
After finishing breakfast, we took a look around the farm. There were many activities going on. There was a separate section for kids where they could play and enjoy. The farm had duck quacking all around and apart from this, there were amazing rides like the camel ride and bullock cart and other activities like rope climbing, rope ladder, cricket, monkey crawl, Burma bridge, and many more. When you come to this place, you will not realize how quickly the time passes by. It should definitely be a place to visit for adventure lovers.
Music at Surajgarh
There was also a DJ playing various tracks and everyone was dancing to his numbers. The day had just started and now it was time for us to have our lunch. At 1:30 pm they were serving us lunch. The lunch included two varieties.
Lunch
One was a typical north Indian food which included paneer, rajma, daal makhani while the other was a special ‘Chule ki Roti.’ They serve a full desi meal which changes according to the season. They offer a wide variety of dishes like Makke ki Roti, Bajra ki Roti, Sag, etc which is already included in the ticket price. I really enjoyed the food. The taste was very different from what we have daily. There was a traditional touch in the food.
You also get evening snacks like Tikki, Gol Gappe, and many other lip-smacking food items.
Apart from the activities and food, there is a huge lawn where you can relax and forget all your worries. Surajgarh Farms has a lot of activities which you can enjoy with your family. You get a vibe of the village, the root of India, and the Indian heritage.
If you are planning a fun day with your family then Surajgarh Farms is a great place to come. You should come early in the morning because once you enter this place you will not know how quickly time flies by.
Just a 45 minute drive from Delhi to Gurugram is all you need to spend a great time with your family and make memories for a lifetime.
